At the same time, Uzbekistan (+88.0%), Azerbaijan (+50.9%), Belarus (+4.7%) and Moldova (+2.4%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Uzbekistan emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in the CIS, with a CAGR of +88.0% from 2012-2022. Kazakhstan experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. From 2012 to 2022, the share of Russia, Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan increased by +35, +6.3 and +1.9 percentage points, respectively.
In value terms, Russia ($X) remains the largest diesel or semi-diesel electric generating set of output over X kVA but under X kVA supplier in the CIS, comprising 80% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Belarus ($X), with a 6.5% share of total exports. It was followed by Kazakhstan, with a 6.3% share.

In general, imports, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 when imports increased by 35%. The volume of import peaked at X units in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
