In value terms, Russia ($X) remains the largest disc harrow supplier in the CIS, comprising 74% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Belarus ($X), with a 26% share of total exports.

From 2018 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.

The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 when imports increased by 62%. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum in 2021 and are expected to retain growth in the near future.

Kazakhstan was the largest importer of disc harrows in the CIS, with the volume of imports reaching X units, which was near 47% of total imports in 2021. It was distantly followed by Moldova (X units), Russia (X units) and Belarus (X units), together constituting a 46% share of total imports. The following importers - Azerbaijan (X units) and Uzbekistan (X units) - together made up 6.3% of total imports.

Imports into Kazakhstan increased at an average annual rate of +17.0% from 2012 to 2021. At the same time, Moldova (+25.3%), Azerbaijan (+22.0%) and Uzbekistan (+13.4%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Moldova emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in the CIS, with a CAGR of +25.3% from 2012-2021. By contrast, Belarus (-3.5%) and Russia (-15.5%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. While the share of Kazakhstan (+36 p.p.), Moldova (+20 p.p.), Azerbaijan (+3.6 p.p.) and Uzbekistan (+2.1 p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total imports from 2012-2021, the share of Belarus (-1.6 p.p.) and Russia (-60 p.p.) displayed negative dynamics.

In value terms, Russia ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported disc harrows in the CIS, comprising 67% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Kazakhstan ($X), with a 19% share of total imports. It was followed by Moldova, with an 8.5% share.

In Russia, disc harrow imports increased at an average annual rate of +4.4% over the period from 2012-2021. The remaining importing countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Kazakhstan (+13.6% per year) and Moldova (+22.2% per year).

In 2021, the import price in the CIS amounted to $X per unit, increasing by 31% against the previous year. In general, the import price saw a strong increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 when the import price increased by 68%. The level of import peaked in 2021 and is expected to retain growth in the immediate term.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Russia ($X per unit), while Moldova ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Russia (+23.5%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
