The CIS off-highway dumper market soared to $X in 2021, with an increase of 32% against the previous year. In general, consumption, however, showed a pronounced slump. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2013 with an increase of 107%. Over the period under review, the exports reached the maximum at X units in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, the exports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, off-highway dumper exports skyrocketed to $X in 2021. In general, exports showed a buoyant expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when exports increased by 92%. Over the period under review, the exports reached the maximum at $X in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, the exports remained at a lower figure.

Belarus dominates exports structure, resulting at X units, which was near 95% of total exports in 2021. Russia (X units) followed a long way behind the leaders.

Belarus was also the fastest-growing in terms of the dumpers for off-highway use exports, with a CAGR of +23.3% from 2012 to 2021. At the same time, Russia (+5.9%) displayed positive paces of growth. Belarus (+20 p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total exports, while Russia saw its share reduced by -7.4% from 2012 to 2021, respectively.

In value terms, Belarus ($X) remains the largest off-highway dumper supplier in the CIS, comprising 93% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Russia ($X), with a 4.4% share of total exports.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in Belarus stood at +22.2%.

Export Prices by Country

In 2021, the export price in the CIS amounted to $X per unit, declining by -13.9% against the previous year. Overall, the export price saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 an increase of 8.9% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export prices reached the maximum at $X per unit in 2020, and then declined in the following year.

Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major exporting countries. In 2021, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Russia ($X per unit), while Belarus totaled $X per unit.

From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Belarus (-0.9%).

In 2021, overseas purchases of dumpers for off-highway use increased by 139% to X units for the first time since 2018, thus ending a two-year declining trend. Over the period under review, imports saw a slight increase. The volume of import peaked at X units in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, off-highway dumper imports surged to $X in 2021. In general, imports, however, recorded a mild reduction. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at $X in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.

Imports by Country

Russia represented the key importer of dumpers for off-highway use in the CIS, with the volume of imports amounting to X units, which was approx. 72% of total imports in 2021. It was distantly followed by Uzbekistan (X units) and Kazakhstan (X units), together constituting a 26% share of total imports.

Russia experienced a relatively flat trend pattern with regard to volume of imports of dumpers for off-highway use. At the same time, Uzbekistan (+14.9%) and Kazakhstan (+6.5%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Uzbekistan emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in the CIS, with a CAGR of +14.9% from 2012-2021. Uzbekistan (+16 p.p.) and Kazakhstan (+3.8 p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total imports, while Russia saw its share reduced by -13.4% from 2012 to 2021, respectively.

In value terms, Russia ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported dumpers for off-highway use in the CIS, comprising 74% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Uzbekistan ($X), with a 14% share of total imports.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in Russia totaled -2.1%. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Uzbekistan (+15.8% per year) and Kazakhstan (+2.4% per year).

Import Prices by Country

In 2021, the import price in the CIS amounted to $X per unit, picking up by 2.4% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, saw a pronounced decrease. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2013 when the import price increased by 7.1%. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $X per unit. From 2014 to 2021, the import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.

Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major importing countries. In 2021, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Russia ($X per unit), while Uzbekistan ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
