Electric brazing machine exports contracted significantly to X units in 2022, declining by -29.4% against the previous year's figure. In general, exports, however, showed pronounced growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2015 with an increase of 218% against the previous year. As a result, the exports attained the peak of X units. From 2016 to 2022, the growth of the exports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, electric brazing machine exports contracted rapidly to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, exports, however, posted a tangible expansion. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2015 with an increase of 252%. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $X. From 2016 to 2022, the growth of the exports failed to regain momentum.

Exports by Country

Russia dominates exports structure, recording X units, which was approx. 83% of total exports in 2022. It was distantly followed by Belarus (X units) and Kazakhstan (X units), together creating a 14% share of total exports.

From 2012 to 2022, average annual rates of growth with regard to electric brazing machine exports from Russia stood at +3.2%. At the same time, Belarus (+6.0%) and Kazakhstan (+5.6%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Belarus emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in the CIS, with a CAGR of +6.0% from 2012-2022. From 2012 to 2022, the share of Belarus increased by +1.7 percentage points. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, Russia ($X) remains the largest electric brazing machine supplier in the CIS, comprising 79% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Kazakhstan ($X), with an 11% share of total exports.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in Russia totaled +1.8%. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Kazakhstan (+3.1% per year) and Belarus (+1.0% per year).

Export Prices by Country

In 2022, the export price in the CIS amounted to $X per unit, growing by 12% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, recorded a slight decrease. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 when the export price increased by 166%. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $X per unit. From 2019 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Kazakhstan ($X per unit), while Belarus ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Russia (-1.3%), while the other leaders experienced a decline in the export price figures.

In 2022, electric brazing machine imports in the CIS skyrocketed to X units, increasing by 114% compared with 2021 figures. Overall, imports saw strong growth. As a result, imports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

In value terms, electric brazing machine imports reduced to $X in 2022. In general, imports, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 with an increase of 38%. The level of import peaked at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Imports by Country

Russia represented the key importer of electric brazing or soldering machines and apparatus in the CIS, with the volume of imports recording X units, which was near 62% of total imports in 2022. Kyrgyzstan (X units) ranks second in terms of the total imports with an 18% share, followed by Kazakhstan (11%) and Azerbaijan (4.5%). Belarus (X units) followed a long way behind the leaders.

From 2012 to 2022, average annual rates of growth with regard to electric brazing machine imports into Russia stood at +5.9%. At the same time, Kyrgyzstan (+108.0%), Azerbaijan (+36.6%), Belarus (+7.5%) and Kazakhstan (+2.2%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Kyrgyzstan emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in the CIS, with a CAGR of +108.0% from 2012-2022. From 2012 to 2022, the share of Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan increased by +18 and +4.1 percentage points, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, Russia ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported electric brazing or soldering machines and apparatus in the CIS, comprising 80% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Kazakhstan ($X), with a 7.6% share of total imports. It was followed by Belarus, with a 5.2% share.

In Russia, electric brazing machine imports shrank by an average annual rate of -1.0% over the period from 2012-2022. The remaining importing countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Kazakhstan (-1.9% per year) and Belarus (-1.2% per year).

Import Prices by Country

The import price in the CIS stood at $X per unit in 2022, declining by -54.7% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price saw a deep downturn. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 an increase of 50%. The level of import peaked at $X per unit in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Belarus ($X per unit), while Kyrgyzstan ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Kazakhstan (-4.0%), while the other leaders experienced a decline in the import price figures.
