The volume of import peaked at X tons in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, electrical circuit apparatus imports skyrocketed to $X in 2021. In general, imports, however, showed a slight reduction. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 when imports increased by 30% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.

Belarus (X tons) ranks second in terms of the total imports with an 8% share, followed by Uzbekistan (7%) and Kazakhstan (9.8%). The following importers - Moldova (X tons) and Azerbaijan (X tons) - each amounted to a 6% share of total imports.

Imports into Russia decreased at an average annual rate of -1.7% from 2012 to 2021. At the same time, Uzbekistan (+12.4%), Belarus (+7.2%), Moldova (+5.3%) and Azerbaijan (+1.1%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Uzbekistan emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in the CIS, with a CAGR of +12.4% from 2012-2021. Kazakhstan experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. Uzbekistan (+4.6 p.p.) and Belarus (+3.7 p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total imports, while Russia saw its share reduced by -10.8% from 2012 to 2021, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
