Russia dominates imports structure, accounting for X units, which was approx. 73% of total imports in 2021. Kazakhstan (X units) ranks second in terms of the total imports with an 8.5% share, followed by Uzbekistan (7.3%). Belarus (X units), Armenia (X units) and Azerbaijan (X units) followed a long way behind the leaders.

From 2012 to 2021, average annual rates of growth with regard to ECG imports into Russia stood at -5.1%. At the same time, Armenia (+9.1%) and Uzbekistan (+7.4%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Armenia emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in the CIS, with a CAGR of +9.1% from 2012-2021. Belarus experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. By contrast, Kazakhstan (-2.4%) and Azerbaijan (-8.9%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. While the share of Uzbekistan (+7.3 p.p.) and Armenia (+1.8 p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total imports from 2012-2021, the share of Russia (-10 p.p.) displayed negative dynamics. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, Russia ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported electro-cardiographs in the CIS, comprising 64% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Kazakhstan ($X), with a 20% share of total imports. It was followed by Uzbekistan, with a 6.2% share.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in Russia totaled -9.3%. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Kazakhstan (+0.7% per year) and Uzbekistan (-2.0% per year).
