Belarus (X units) and Kazakhstan (X units) dominates exports structure, together comprising 91% of total exports. It was distantly followed by Russia (X units), comprising a 9.1% share of total exports.
From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for Belarus (with a CAGR of +19.6%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced mixed trends in the exports figures.
In value terms, the largest escalator supplying countries in the CIS were Belarus ($X), Kazakhstan ($X) and Russia ($X).
Belarus, with a CAGR of +19.0%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, in terms of the main exporting countries over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced mixed trends in the exports figures.
Export Prices by Country
In 2022, the export price in the CIS amounted to $X per unit, picking up by 33% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, continues to indicate a abrupt slump. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 an increase of 68%. Over the period under review, the export prices hit record highs at $X per unit in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major exporting countries. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Russia ($X per unit), while Kazakhstan ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure at X units in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Imports by Country
Russia dominates imports structure, recording X units, which was near 70% of total imports in 2022. It was distantly followed by Uzbekistan (X units) and Kazakhstan (X units), together comprising a 16% share of total imports. Azerbaijan (X units), Armenia (X units), Moldova (X units) and Belarus (X units) took a little share of total imports.
From 2012 to 2022, average annual rates of growth with regard to escalator imports into Russia stood at -7.0%. At the same time, Uzbekistan (+24.8%), Moldova (+18.6%) and Armenia (+6.8%) displayed positive paces of growth. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, Russia ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported escalators and moving WalkWays in the CIS, comprising 63% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Kazakhstan ($X), with an 11% share of total imports. It was followed by Uzbekistan, with an 11% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of value in Russia amounted to -8.7%. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Kazakhstan (-2.8% per year) and Uzbekistan (+16.5% per year).
Import Prices by Country
The import price in the CIS stood at $X per unit in 2022, growing by 4.2% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, saw a pronounced contraction. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2013 an increase of 13% against the previous year. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $X per unit.
