In 2022, the CIS fish parts market decreased by -5% to $X for the first time since 2016, thus ending a five-year rising trend. In 2022, overseas purchases of fish heads, tails and maws decreased by -10.5% to X tons for the first time since 2018, thus ending a three-year rising trend. The volume of import peaked at X tons in 2021, and then fell in the following year.

In value terms, fish parts imports contracted to $X in 2022. In general, imports, however, enjoyed a strong expansion.
