The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2013 with an increase of 45%. The volume of export peaked at X tons in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, the exports failed to regain momentum.

Exports from Russia increased at an average annual rate of +6.6% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, Armenia (+284.6%), Kazakhstan (+68.0%) and Belarus (+24.8%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Armenia emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in the CIS, with a CAGR of +284.6% from 2012-2022. Belarus (+8.2 p.p.), Armenia (+6.3 p.p.) and Kazakhstan (+2.3 p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total exports, while Russia saw its share reduced by -16.8% from 2012 to 2022, respectively.
In value terms, Russia ($X) remains the largest flexible tubes, pipes and hoses of plastics, with fittings supplier in the CIS, comprising 86% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Belarus ($X), with a 7.1% share of total exports. It was followed by Kazakhstan, with a 2.3% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of value in Russia stood at +10.9%. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Belarus (+16.2% per year) and Kazakhstan (+48.4% per year).

In 2022, the export price in the CIS amounted to $X per ton, falling by -20% against the previous year. Export price indicated a moderate increase from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +2.9% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, export price for flexible tubes, pipes and hoses of plastics, with fittings increased by +52.0% against 2015 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when the export price increased by 56%. Total imports indicated perceptible growth from 2012 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +4.8% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports decreased by -17.9% against 2017 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2016 when imports increased by 71%. The volume of import peaked at X tons in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Uzbekistan (X tons) ranks second in terms of the total imports with a 19% share, followed by Moldova (6.6%), Belarus (5.3%) and Kazakhstan (4.7%). Kyrgyzstan (X tons) followed a long way behind the leaders.

At the same time, Uzbekistan (+44.3%), Kyrgyzstan (+32.1%), Moldova (+23.0%) and Kazakhstan (+5.0%) displayed positive paces of growth. Uzbekistan (+19 p.p.), Moldova (+5.3 p.p.) and Kyrgyzstan (+3.5 p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total imports, while Belarus and Russia saw its share reduced by -9.1% and -18.8% from 2012 to 2022, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

The second position in the ranking was taken by Moldova ($X), with a 5.6% share of total imports. It was followed by Belarus, with a 4% share.
