In general, exports, however, saw a pronounced expansion. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2018 when exports increased by 169%. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at X units in 2021, and then declined remarkably in the following year.

In value terms, non-self-propelled fork-lift truck exports soared to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, exports, however, showed notable growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 when exports increased by 119% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at $X in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, the exports failed to regain momentum.

Russia dominates exports structure, reaching X units, which was approx. 89% of total exports in 2022. It was distantly followed by Belarus (X units), comprising a 4.8% share of total exports. The following exporters - Kazakhstan (X units) and Uzbekistan (X units) - each reached a 4.1% share of total exports.

From 2012 to 2022, average annual rates of growth with regard to non-self-propelled fork-lift truck exports from Russia stood at +14.3%. At the same time, Uzbekistan (+34.5%) and Kazakhstan (+19.6%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Uzbekistan emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in the CIS, with a CAGR of +34.5% from 2012-2022. By contrast, Belarus (-18.9%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. While the share of Russia (+53 p.p.), Kazakhstan (+1.8 p.p.) and Uzbekistan (+1.8 p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total exports from 2012-2022, the share of Belarus (-54.4 p.p.) displayed negative dynamics.

In value terms, Russia ($X) remains the largest non-self-propelled fork-lift truck supplier in the CIS, comprising 48% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Belarus ($X), with a 4.9% share of total exports. It was followed by Kazakhstan, with a 4.1% share.

In Russia, non-self-propelled fork-lift truck exports expanded at an average annual rate of +4.8% over the period from 2012-2022. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Belarus (-17.9% per year) and Kazakhstan (-2.6% per year).

In 2022, the export price in the CIS amounted to $X per unit, surging by 98% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, recorded a noticeable setback. The level of export peaked at $X per unit in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Kazakhstan ($X per unit), while Uzbekistan ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

In 2022, the amount of non-self-propelled fork-lift trucks imported in the CIS surged to X units, increasing by 41% against 2021 figures. Over the period under review, imports, however, continue to indicate a abrupt curtailment. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2018 when imports increased by 91%. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure at X units in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, non-self-propelled fork-lift truck imports contracted slightly to $X in 2022. Overall, imports, however, continue to indicate a abrupt decline. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2019 with an increase of 113%. The level of import peaked at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.

In 2022, Russia (X units), distantly followed by Azerbaijan (X units), Uzbekistan (X units), Kazakhstan (X units), Belarus (X units) and Moldova (X units) represented the largest importers of non-self-propelled fork-lift trucks, together constituting 99% of total imports.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main importing countries, was attained by Uzbekistan (with a CAGR of +29.7%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, Russia ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported non-self-propelled fork-lift trucks in the CIS, comprising 69% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Uzbekistan ($X), with an 8.7% share of total imports. It was followed by Azerbaijan, with a 6.9% share.
