Kyrgyzstan, with a CAGR of +48.8%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of exports, among the main exporting countries over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The export price in the CIS stood at $X per unit in 2022, declining by -58.6% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price continues to indicate a abrupt setback. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when the export price increased by 23% against the previous year. The level of export peaked at $X per unit in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Kyrgyzstan ($X per unit), while Belarus ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

Imports into Russia decreased at an average annual rate of -2.5% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, Armenia (+32.1%), Moldova (+31.1%), Azerbaijan (+29.5%), Belarus (+26.2%) and Kazakhstan (+16.8%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Armenia emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in the CIS, with a CAGR of +32.1% from 2012-2022. By contrast, Kyrgyzstan (-1.5%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. While the share of Kazakhstan (+14 p.p.), Armenia (+5.4 p.p.), Belarus (+5.3 p.p.), Moldova (+4.1 p.p.) and Azerbaijan (+2.7 p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total imports from 2012-2022, the share of Kyrgyzstan (-3.2 p.p.) and Russia (-28.4 p.p.) displayed negative dynamics.
In value terms, Russia ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported hats and other headgear in the CIS, comprising 76% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Kazakhstan ($X), with a 10% share of total imports. It was followed by Belarus, with a 6% share.
In Russia, hat and headgear imports remained relatively stable over the period from 2012-2022. The remaining importing countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Kazakhstan (+12.0% per year) and Belarus (+11.1% per year).
Import Prices by Country
In 2022, the import price in the CIS amounted to $X per unit, reducing by -48.1% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price showed a slight decline. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2013 when the import price increased by 53%.
