Kazakhstan was the largest exporting country with an export of around X tons, which amounted to 87% of total exports. It was distantly followed by Russia (X tons), achieving a 13% share of total exports.

Russia was the main importing country with an import of about X tons, which accounted for 63% of total imports. Belarus (X tons) took the second position in the ranking, distantly followed by Kazakhstan (X tons) and Uzbekistan (X tons). All these countries together took approx. 36% share of total imports.
From 2012 to 2021, average annual rates of growth with regard to hydrogen fluoride imports into Russia stood at -25.0%. Kazakhstan experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. Belarus (-12.6%) and Uzbekistan (-16.5%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. Belarus (+14 p.p.), Kazakhstan (+8.1 p.p.) and Uzbekistan (+2.9 p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total imports, while Russia saw its share reduced by -25.3% from 2012 to 2021, respectively.
In value terms, Russia ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported hydrogen fluoride (hydrofluoric acid) in the CIS, comprising 63% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Belarus ($X), with a 22% share of total imports. It was followed by Uzbekistan, with a 6.6% share.
In Russia, hydrogen fluoride imports shrank by an average annual rate of -20.0% over the period from 2012-2021. The remaining importing countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Belarus (-14.8% per year) and Uzbekistan (-10.1% per year).
Import Prices by Country
The import price in the CIS stood at $X per ton in 2021, surging by 10% against the previous year. Import price indicated resilient growth from 2012 to 2021: its price increased at an average annual rate of +5.2% over the last nine years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period.
