In 2021, the export price in the CIS amounted to $X per ton, with an increase of 11% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, recorded a slight setback. Over the period under review, the export prices attained the peak figure at $X per ton in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2021, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2021, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Kazakhstan ($X per ton), while Uzbekistan ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

Fungicide and bactericide imports stood at X tons in 2021, increasing by 9% on the year before. Over the period under review, imports enjoyed a resilient expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 when imports increased by 31%. The volume of import peaked in 2021 and is expected to retain growth in the immediate term.

In value terms, fungicide and bactericide imports amounted to $X in 2021. Overall, imports saw a strong increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2018 with an increase of 21% against the previous year. The level of import peaked in 2021 and is likely to see steady growth in years to come.

In 2021, Russia (X tons) represented the major importer of fungicides, bactericides and seed treatments, mixing up 64% of total imports. Kazakhstan (X tons) ranks second in terms of the total imports with a 12% share, followed by Moldova (7.7%) and Belarus (7%). In value terms, Russia ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported fungicides, bactericides and seed treatments in the CIS, comprising 62% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Kazakhstan ($X), with a 13% share of total imports. It was followed by Belarus, with a 9.4% share.

In Russia, fungicide and bactericide imports expanded at an average annual rate of +10.5% over the period from 2012-2021. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Kazakhstan (+17.6% per year) and Belarus (+0.1% per year).
