The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 with an increase of 22%. The volume of import peaked at X tons in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, Russia ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported insulated wire and cable in the CIS, comprising 60% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Kazakhstan ($X), with a 16% share of total imports. It was followed by Moldova, with an 8.2% share.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in Russia was relatively modest. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Kazakhstan (-1.1% per year) and Moldova (+4.5% per year).
