The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2013 when exports increased by 66%. Over the period under review, the exports reached the maximum in 2021 and are expected to retain growth in the immediate term.

Russia dominates exports structure, resulting at X tons, which was approx. 91% of total exports in 2021. Belarus (X tons) and Kazakhstan (X tons) followed a long way behind the leaders.

Russia was also the fastest-growing in terms of the equipment for scaffolding, shuttering, propping or pit propping exports, with a CAGR of +21.9% from 2012 to 2021. At the same time, Belarus (+1.3%) displayed positive paces of growth. By contrast, Kazakhstan (-7.1%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. Russia (+27 p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total exports, while Belarus and Kazakhstan saw its share reduced by -9.8% and -18.5% from 2012 to 2021, respectively.

In 2021, the export price in the CIS amounted to $X per ton, growing by 28% against the previous year. Export price indicated modest growth from 2012 to 2021: its price increased at an average annual rate of +1.8% over the last nine years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. In 2021, overseas purchases of equipment for scaffolding, shuttering, propping or pit propping decreased by -16.1% to X tons, falling for the second consecutive year after three years of growth. Total imports indicated a perceptible increase from 2012 to 2021: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +2.3% over the last nine-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, imports decreased by -22.5% against 2019 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2018 with an increase of 40%. The volume of import peaked at X tons in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Kazakhstan (X tons) ranks second in terms of the total imports with a 19% share, followed by Uzbekistan (14%) and Belarus (6.6%). Russia experienced a relatively flat trend pattern with regard to volume of imports of equipment for scaffolding, shuttering, propping or pit propping. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, Russia ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported equipment for scaffolding, shuttering, propping or pit propping in the CIS, comprising 52% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Kazakhstan ($X), with an 18% share of total imports. It was followed by Uzbekistan, with a 14% share.
