The growth pace was the most rapid in 2016 with an increase of 44% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum at X units in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

At the same time, Azerbaijan (+27.4%), Uzbekistan (+24.8%), Kazakhstan (+1.5%) and Belarus (+1.1%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Azerbaijan emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in the CIS, with a CAGR of +27.4% from 2012-2022. From 2012 to 2022, the share of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan increased by +3 and +2.2 percentage points, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

The second position in the ranking was taken by Kazakhstan ($X), with a 7.9% share of total imports. It was followed by Uzbekistan, with a 4% share.
