Belarus (X units) and Russia (X units) dominates exports structure, together making up 96% of total exports. Kazakhstan (X units) followed a long way behind the leaders.

From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were recorded for Belarus (with a CAGR of +115.3%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, Russia ($X) remains the largest lithium-ion accumulator supplier in the CIS, comprising 75% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Belarus ($X), with a 23% share of total exports.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in Russia totaled +19.3%. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Belarus (+73.0% per year) and Kazakhstan (+39.6% per year).

From 2020 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

Russia dominates imports structure, amounting to X units, which was approx. 79% of total imports in 2021. Belarus (X units) took the second position in the ranking, followed by Kazakhstan (X units). All these countries together held near 18% share of total imports.

Imports into Russia increased at an average annual rate of +7.8% from 2012 to 2021. At the same time, Belarus (+19.5%) and Kazakhstan (+13.0%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Belarus emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in the CIS, with a CAGR of +19.5% from 2012-2021. While the share of Belarus (+5.1 p.p.) and Kazakhstan (+2.4 p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total imports from 2012-2021, the share of Russia (-10.3 p.p.) displayed negative dynamics.

In value terms, Russia ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported lithium-ion accumulators in the CIS, comprising 85% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Belarus ($X), with a 6.6% share of total imports.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in Russia amounted to +16.9%. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Belarus (+33.8% per year) and Kazakhstan (+16.4% per year).
