The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when imports increased by 903% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X, and then dropped remarkably in the following year.

Imports by Country

Russia prevails in imports structure, finishing at X units, which was near 96% of total imports in 2022. The following importers - Kazakhstan (X units) and Uzbekistan (X units) - each finished at a 4.1% share of total imports.

Russia was also the fastest-growing in terms of the machinery for liquefying air or gases imports, with a CAGR of +32.1% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, Kazakhstan (+7.2%) displayed positive paces of growth. By contrast, Uzbekistan (-5.6%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. While the share of Russia (+33 p.p.) and Uzbekistan (+1.8 p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total imports from 2012-2022, the share of Kazakhstan (-10.1 p.p.) displayed negative dynamics.

In Russia, air or gas liquefier imports increased at an average annual rate of +35.1% over the period from 2012-2022. The remaining importing countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Kazakhstan (+6.8% per year) and Uzbekistan (+38.2% per year).
