Russia was also the fastest-growing in terms of the machinery for preparing animal feedstuffs exports, with a CAGR of +28.8% from 2012 to 2021. At the same time, Belarus (+5.9%) displayed positive paces of growth. While the share of Russia (+38 p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total exports from 2012-2021, the share of Belarus (-36.1 p.p.) displayed negative dynamics.

Russia, with a CAGR of +7.9%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, among the main exporting countries over the period under review.

In 2021, the export price in the CIS amounted to $X per unit, dropping by -40.6% against the previous year. In general, the export price recorded a abrupt decline. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 when the export price increased by 19% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export prices hit record highs at $X per unit in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Belarus ($X per unit), while Russia totaled $X per unit.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Belarus (-3.9%).

Imports in CIS
In 2021, overseas purchases of machinery for preparing animal feedstuffs increased by 9.9% to X units, rising for the second consecutive year after two years of decline. Over the period under review, imports showed a moderate expansion. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 when imports increased by 125% against the previous year. The volume of import peaked in 2021 and is likely to see steady growth in the immediate term.
In value terms, feedstuff preparing machinery imports contracted to $X in 2021. Overall, imports continue to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when imports increased by 105%. The level of import peaked at $X in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.
Imports by Country
In 2021, Russia (X units) was the main importer of machinery for preparing animal feedstuffs, constituting 49% of total imports. Kazakhstan (X units) held the second position in the ranking, followed by Uzbekistan (X units), Azerbaijan (X units) and Belarus (X units). All these countries together held near 46% share of total imports. Moldova (X units) took a little share of total imports.
Russia experienced a relatively flat trend pattern with regard to volume of imports of machinery for preparing animal feedstuffs. At the same time, Kazakhstan (+13.8%), Azerbaijan (+13.4%), Uzbekistan (+6.4%), Moldova (+4.8%) and Belarus (+2.0%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Kazakhstan emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in the CIS, with a CAGR of +13.8% from 2012-2021. From 2012 to 2021, the share of Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan increased by +13, +9 and +4.2 percentage points, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, Russia ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported machinery for preparing animal feedstuffs in the CIS, comprising 42% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Kazakhstan ($X), with a 20% share of total imports. It was followed by Uzbekistan, with a 15% share.
In Russia, feedstuff preparing machinery imports decreased by an average annual rate of -5.4% over the period from 2012-2021. The remaining importing countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Kazakhstan (+9.6% per year) and Uzbekistan (+8.1% per year).
