In value terms, Russia ($X), Kazakhstan ($X) and Uzbekistan ($X) were the countries with the highest levels of imports in 2021, with a combined 86% share of total imports. These countries were followed by Moldova, Azerbaijan, Belarus and Kyrgyzstan, which together accounted for a further 13%.

Azerbaijan, with a CAGR of +18.5%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, in terms of the main importing countries over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Import Prices by Country

In 2021, the import price in the CIS amounted to $X per unit, jumping by 22% against the previous year. Import price indicated notable growth from 2012 to 2021: its price increased at an average annual rate of +4.1% over the last nine years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period.
