In value terms, Kazakhstan ($X), Uzbekistan ($X) and Belarus ($X) were the countries with the highest levels of imports in 2022, together accounting for 93% of total imports. Russia, Kyrgyzstan and Armenia lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 6.4%.

In terms of the main importing countries, Kyrgyzstan, with a CAGR of +53.8%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Import Prices by Country

In 2022, the import price in the CIS amounted to $X per unit, declining by -8.2% against the previous year. Overall, the import price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2019 an increase of 80% against the previous year. Over the period under review, import prices reached the maximum at $X per unit in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.
