In 2021, Belarus (X units) was the main exporter of multichip integrated circuits: memories, achieving 76% of total exports. It was distantly followed by Russia (X units), committing a 24% share of total exports.
Exports from Belarus increased at an average annual rate of +9.0% from 2012 to 2021. At the same time, Russia (+30.7%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Russia emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in the CIS, with a CAGR of +30.7% from 2012-2021. While the share of Russia (+18 p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total exports from 2012-2021, the share of Belarus (-15.8 p.p.) displayed negative dynamics.
In value terms, Russia ($X) remains the largest memories supplier in the CIS, comprising 78% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Belarus ($X), with a 21% share of total exports.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in Russia amounted to +23.3%.
Export Prices by Country
In 2021, the export price in the CIS amounted to $X per unit, waning by -1.8% against the previous year. In general, the export price saw a deep slump. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2016 an increase of 88%. Over the period under review, the export prices attained the maximum at $X per unit in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2021, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Russia ($X per unit), while Belarus stood at $X per unit.

Imports in CIS
In 2021, overseas purchases of multichip integrated circuits: memories increased by 23% to X units for the first time since 2018, thus ending a two-year declining trend. In general, imports posted a notable expansion. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2016 when imports increased by 225%. As a result, imports reached the peak of X units. From 2017 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, memories imports expanded significantly to $X in 2021. Overall, imports recorded a tangible increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2016 when imports increased by 190% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X.
