Russia was the key exporting country with an export of around X units, which amounted to 56% of total exports. Belarus (X units) took the second position in the ranking, distantly followed by Azerbaijan (X units) and Kazakhstan (X units). All these countries together held approx. 41% share of total exports. Moldova (X units) followed a long way behind the leaders.

From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the key exporting countries, was attained by Azerbaijan (with a CAGR of +48.0%), while the other leaders experienced mixed trends in the exports figures.

In value terms, Russia ($X) remains the largest non-domestic dryer supplier in the CIS, comprising 78% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Belarus ($X), with an 11% share of total exports. It was followed by Azerbaijan, with a 6% share.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value in Russia was relatively modest. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Belarus (+7.2% per year) and Azerbaijan (+75.8% per year).

The export price in the CIS stood at $X per unit in 2021, picking up by 22% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price showed a buoyant expansion. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2013 an increase of 237%. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $X per unit. From 2014 to 2021, the export prices remained at a lower figure.

In 2021, the amount of non-domestic dryers imported in the CIS fell remarkably to X units, which is down by -40.1% on the previous year. Over the period under review, imports recorded a noticeable setback. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2013 when imports increased by 41% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of X units. From 2014 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, non-domestic dryer imports fell notably to $X in 2021. In general, imports continue to indicate a deep setback. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 with an increase of 25%. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.

In 2021, Russia (X units) represented the major importer of non-domestic dryers, comprising 59% of total imports. Belarus (X units) took an 18% share (based on physical terms) of total imports, which put it in second place, followed by Kazakhstan (13%) and Uzbekistan (6.1%).

Imports into Russia decreased at an average annual rate of -5.9% from 2012 to 2021. At the same time, Kazakhstan (+5.5%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Kazakhstan emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in the CIS, with a CAGR of +5.5% from 2012-2021. Belarus experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. By contrast, Uzbekistan (-4.4%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. In value terms, Russia ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported non-domestic dryers in the CIS, comprising 62% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Belarus ($X), with a 17% share of total imports. It was followed by Uzbekistan, with a 9.9% share.

In Russia, non-domestic dryer imports contracted by an average annual rate of -9.2% over the period from 2012-2021. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Belarus (+4.0% per year) and Uzbekistan (-1.9% per year).

The import price in the CIS stood at $X per unit in 2021, rising by 4.5% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, saw a pronounced setback.
