In 2022, after two years of growth, there was significant decline in overseas shipments of non-electric bakery ovens, when their volume decreased by -23.1% to X units. In general, exports continue to indicate a noticeable downturn. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2016 with an increase of 41% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports attained the peak figure at X units in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, the exports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, non-electric bakery oven exports expanded rapidly to $X in 2022. Overall, exports showed a abrupt slump. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 with an increase of 45% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports attained the maximum at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Exports by Country
Russia prevails in exports structure, reaching X units, which was near 87% of total exports in 2022. It was distantly followed by Armenia (X units), achieving an 8.6% share of total exports. The following exporters - Belarus (X units) and Moldova (X units) - each amounted to a 3.7% share of total exports.
Exports from Russia decreased at an average annual rate of -4.9% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, Belarus (+11.6%), Moldova (+11.6%) and Armenia (+3.4%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Belarus emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in the CIS, with a CAGR of +11.6% from 2012-2022. While the share of Armenia (+4.7 p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total exports from 2012-2022, the share of Russia (-3.9 p.p.) displayed negative dynamics. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, Russia ($X) remains the largest non-electric bakery oven supplier in the CIS, comprising 94% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Armenia ($X), with a 5.3% share of total exports. It was followed by Belarus, with a 0.8% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in Russia totaled -7.4%. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Armenia (+38.7% per year) and Belarus (+8.7% per year).
Export Prices by Country
The export price in the CIS stood at $X per unit in 2022, with an increase of 38% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, saw a pronounced setback. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2013 when the export price increased by 38%. The level of export peaked at $X per unit in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Russia ($X per unit), while Moldova ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Armenia (+34.1%), while the other leaders experienced a decline in the export price figures.

In 2022, supplies from abroad of non-electric bakery ovens was finally on the rise to reach X units after three years of decline. In general, imports, however, recorded a deep setback. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when imports increased by 106%. The volume of import peaked at X units in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, non-electric bakery oven imports amounted to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports, however, showed a abrupt setback. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 with an increase of 107% against the previous year. The level of import peaked at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Imports by Country
Russia was the key importer of non-electric bakery ovens in the CIS, with the volume of imports resulting at X units, which was near 48% of total imports in 2022. Azerbaijan (X units) held the second position in the ranking, followed by Belarus (X units), Uzbekistan (X units), Kazakhstan (X units) and Kyrgyzstan (X units). All these countries together held near 48% share of total imports. Armenia (X units) took a little share of total imports.
From 2012 to 2022, average annual rates of growth with regard to non-electric bakery oven imports into Russia stood at -11.0%. At the same time, Uzbekistan (+9.3%), Azerbaijan (+9.2%) and Armenia (+5.4%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Uzbekistan emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in the CIS, with a CAGR of +9.3% from 2012-2022. By contrast, Belarus (-5.4%), Kazakhstan (-10.1%) and Kyrgyzstan (-32.6%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. Russia (+16 p.p.), Azerbaijan (+14 p.p.), Uzbekistan (+8.9 p.p.), Belarus (+7.8 p.p.), Armenia (+2.6 p.p.) and Kazakhstan (+2.4 p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total imports, while Kyrgyzstan saw its share reduced by -51.4% from 2012 to 2022, respectively.
In value terms, Russia ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported non-electric bakery ovens in the CIS, comprising 78% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Uzbekistan ($X), with a 6.1% share of total imports. It was followed by Belarus, with a 5.3% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in Russia totaled -5.4%. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Uzbekistan (+8.3% per year) and Belarus (-5.5% per year).
Import Prices by Country
The import price in the CIS stood at $X per unit in 2022, with a decrease of -8.4% against the previous year. Import price indicated strong growth from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +10.7% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, non-electric bakery oven import price increased by +33.4% against 2019 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 an increase of 88% against the previous year. The level of import peaked at $X per unit in 2021, and then fell in the following year.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Russia ($X per unit), while Kyrgyzstan ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
