The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 when the production volume increased by 23% against the previous year. Over the period under review, production reached the peak level at $X in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2021, production stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In 2021, exports of non-electrical lamps and lighting fittings in the CIS skyrocketed to X units, increasing by 70% compared with the year before. Overall, exports saw a prominent increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 with an increase of 337%. The volume of export peaked in 2021 and is likely to see gradual growth in the immediate term.
In value terms, non-electrical lamp exports surged to $X in 2021. In general, exports continue to indicate a prominent increase. As a result, the exports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
Exports by Country
Belarus was the largest exporting country with an export of about X units, which resulted at 61% of total exports. It was distantly followed by Russia (X units), mixing up a 39% share of total exports.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main exporting countries, was attained by Belarus (with a CAGR of +67.7%).
In value terms, Belarus ($X) and Russia ($X) constituted the countries with the highest levels of exports in 2021.
Among the main exporting countries, Belarus, with a CAGR of +52.1%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, over the period under review.

In 2021, the export price in the CIS amounted to $X per unit, rising by 15% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, recorded a abrupt slump. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2013 when the export price increased by 49% against the previous year. The level of export peaked at $X per unit in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2021, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major exporting countries. In 2021, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Russia ($X per unit), while Belarus amounted to $X per unit.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Russia (-8.0%).

Imports in CIS
For the fourth year in a row, the CIS recorded growth in supplies from abroad of non-electrical lamps and lighting fittings, which increased by 136% to X units in 2021. In general, imports continue to indicate buoyant growth. As a result, imports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
In value terms, non-electrical lamp imports soared to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The level of import peaked at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.
Imports by Country
Russia dominates imports structure, finishing at X units, which was near 89% of total imports in 2021. It was distantly followed by Belarus (X units), constituting a 6.2% share of total imports. The following importers - Kazakhstan (X units) and Tajikistan (X units) - each recorded a 3.6% share of total imports.
Imports into Russia increased at an average annual rate of +10.8% from 2012 to 2021. At the same time, Belarus (+21.2%), Tajikistan (+3.9%) and Kazakhstan (+2.8%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Belarus emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in the CIS, with a CAGR of +21.2% from 2012-2021. While the share of Belarus (+3.5 p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total imports from 2012-2021, the share of Kazakhstan (-1.9 p.p.) displayed negative dynamics. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, Russia ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported non-electrical lamps and lighting fittings in the CIS, comprising 74% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Belarus ($X), with an 8.3% share of total imports. It was followed by Kazakhstan, with a 7.1% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value in Russia totaled -1.8%. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Belarus (+11.4% per year) and Kazakhstan (-0.2% per year).
Import Prices by Country
In 2021, the import price in the CIS amounted to $X per unit, which is down by -33.6% against the previous year. Overall, the import price continues to indicate a deep slump. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 an increase of 5.9% against the previous year. The level of import peaked at $X per unit in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2021, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Kazakhstan ($X per unit), while Russia ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Tajikistan (+0.2%), while the other leaders experienced a decline in the import price figures.
