The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by +14.7% against 2020 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2014 with an increase of 21% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports of attained the maximum at X tons in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, exports of organo-sulphur compounds and other organo-inorganic compounds expanded markedly to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, exports showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 with an increase of 19% against the previous year. The level of export peaked in 2022 and is likely to continue growth in years to come.

Russia represented the major exporter of organo-sulphur compounds and other organo-inorganic compounds in the CIS, with the volume of exports amounting to X tons, which was approx. 76% of total exports in 2022. The second position in the ranking was held by Uzbekistan ($X), with a 6.9% share of total exports. It was followed by Belarus, with a 6.2% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in Russia was relatively modest. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Uzbekistan (+421.4% per year) and Belarus (+2.2% per year).

Imports of organo-sulphur compounds and other organo-inorganic compounds expanded notably to X tons in 2022, surging by 9.4% against the previous year's figure. Over the period under review, imports enjoyed a resilient increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 when imports increased by 41% against the previous year. The volume of import peaked in 2022 and is likely to see steady growth in years to come.
In value terms, imports of organo-sulphur compounds and other organo-inorganic compounds contracted modestly to $X in 2022. Overall, imports posted a remarkable increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 with an increase of 38%. Over the period under review, imports of reached the maximum at $X in 2021, and then shrank modestly in the following year.

Russia represented the key importing country with an import of about X tons, which recorded 72% of total imports.
