Belarus (X tons) took a 23% share (based on physical terms) of total exports, which put it in second place, followed by Kazakhstan (15%) and Uzbekistan (6.2%). Armenia (X tons) and Azerbaijan (X tons) followed a long way behind the leaders.

The second position in the ranking was taken by Belarus ($X), with a 23% share of total exports. It was followed by Kazakhstan, with a 16% share.

Imports in CIS

The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of +2.7% over the period from 2012 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 23%. As a result, imports reached the peak of X tons, and then fell in the following year.

Moldova (X tons), Armenia (X tons) and Uzbekistan (X tons) followed a long way behind the leaders.
Russia experienced a relatively flat trend pattern with regard to volume of imports of paints and varnishes, based on acrylic or vinyl polymers, aqueous medium. At the same time, Armenia (+13.6%), Belarus (+11.1%), Uzbekistan (+10.2%), Kyrgyzstan (+6.7%), Moldova (+3.0%) and Kazakhstan (+1.5%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Armenia emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in the CIS, with a CAGR of +13.6% from 2012-2022. Belarus (+11 p.p.), Uzbekistan (+3.3 p.p.), Armenia (+2.5 p.p.) and Kyrgyzstan (+1.9 p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total imports, while Russia saw its share reduced by -17.5% from 2012 to 2022, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

The second position in the ranking was held by Belarus ($X), with a 15% share of total imports. It was followed by Kazakhstan, with a 10% share.
