Preserved Asparagus Market Size in CIS

The CIS preserved asparagus market contracted to $X in 2022, falling by -1.6% against the previous year. Over the period under review, consumption, however, saw a pronounced contraction. In 2022, the amount of preserved asparagus imported in the CIS surged to X tons, jumping by 383% compared with the year before. Over the period under review, imports, however, showed a deep reduction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 with an increase of 485% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at X tons in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, preserved asparagus imports soared to $X in 2022. In general, imports, however, faced a abrupt slump. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 with an increase of 457% against the previous year. The level of import peaked at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Russia prevails in imports structure, resulting at X tons, which was near 86% of total imports in 2022. Armenia (X kg) ranks second in terms of the total imports with a 5.8% share, followed by Belarus (5.5%).
