In value terms, aircraft propeller exports reduced to $X in 2022. In general, exports, however, faced a abrupt curtailment. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 434% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports reached the maximum at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.

Exports by Country

Moldova represented the major exporting country with an export of around X tons, which finished at 60% of total exports. It was distantly followed by Kazakhstan (X tons) and Kyrgyzstan (X tons), together committing a 40% share of total exports.

Exports from Moldova increased at an average annual rate of +12.2% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, Kyrgyzstan (+34.6%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Kyrgyzstan emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in the CIS, with a CAGR of +34.6% from 2012-2022. By contrast, Kazakhstan (-5.8%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. From 2012 to 2022, the share of Moldova, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan increased by +52, +14 and +5.3 percentage points, while the shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, the largest aircraft propeller supplying countries in the CIS were Kazakhstan ($X), Moldova ($X) and Kyrgyzstan ($X), together comprising 99% of total exports.

In terms of the main exporting countries, Kyrgyzstan, with a CAGR of +65.3%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced mixed trends in the exports figures.

Over the period under review, imports, however, showed a abrupt shrinkage. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 with an increase of 187% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum at X tons in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, aircraft propeller imports expanded markedly to $X in 2022. Overall, imports, however, recorded a deep contraction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 when imports increased by 128% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.

Kazakhstan was the largest importing country with an import of around X tons, which accounted for 57% of total imports. Moldova (X tons) ranks second in terms of the total imports with a 32% share, followed by Belarus (9%). Kyrgyzstan (X kg) followed a long way behind the leaders.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main importing countries, was attained by Moldova (with a CAGR of +11.4%), while imports for the other leaders experienced a decline in the imports figures.

In value terms, Kazakhstan ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported propellers and rotors for civil non-powered aircraft, helicopters and aeroplanes in the CIS, comprising 61% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Moldova ($X), with a 22% share of total imports. It was followed by Belarus, with a 14% share.
