For the third year in a row, the CIS recorded growth in overseas shipments of pumps for liquids and liquid elevators, which increased by 4.7% to X units in 2021. Total exports indicated a modest increase from 2012 to 2021: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +1.7% over the last nine years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, exports increased by +33.7% against 2018 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2014 with an increase of 66%. As a result, the exports reached the peak of X units. From 2015 to 2021, the growth of the exports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, pump for liquid exports skyrocketed to $X in 2021. Total exports indicated a tangible increase from 2012 to 2021: its value increased at an average annual rate of +2.9% over the last nine-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, exports increased by +31.9% against 2019 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 when exports increased by 63%. The level of export peaked at $X in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2021, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Russia represented the largest exporter of pumps for liquids and liquid elevators in the CIS, with the volume of exports resulting at X units, which was approx. 61% of total exports in 2021. It was distantly followed by Belarus (X units), comprising a 38% share of total exports.
From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were recorded for Belarus (with a CAGR of +5.4%).
In value terms, Russia ($X) remains the largest pump for liquid supplier in the CIS, comprising 81% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Belarus ($X), with a 16% share of total exports.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in Russia totaled +4.2%.
Export Prices by Country
In 2021, the export price in the CIS amounted to $X per unit, picking up by 23% against the previous year. Export price indicated slight growth from 2012 to 2021: its price increased at an average annual rate of +1.1% over the last nine-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 when the export price increased by 48% against the previous year. The level of export peaked at $X per unit in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Russia ($X per unit), while Belarus totaled $X per unit.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Russia (+4.0%).

Imports in CIS
In 2021, after two years of decline, there was significant growth in purchases abroad of pumps for liquids and liquid elevators, when their volume increased by 7.3% to X units. Overall, imports posted strong growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 with an increase of 68% against the previous year. The volume of import peaked at X units in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, pump for liquid imports surged to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports continue to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 when imports increased by 26%. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.
Imports by Country
In 2021, Russia (X units) represented the major importer of pumps for liquids and liquid elevators, achieving 72% of total imports. Belarus (X units) took a 17% share (based on physical terms) of total imports, which put it in second place, followed by Kazakhstan (5.9%). Uzbekistan (X units) took a relatively small share of total imports.
From 2012 to 2021, average annual rates of growth with regard to pump for liquid imports into Russia stood at +8.1%. At the same time, Uzbekistan (+12.5%), Kazakhstan (+5.6%) and Belarus (+3.2%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Uzbekistan emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in the CIS, with a CAGR of +12.5% from 2012-2021. Russia (+4.3 p.p.) and Uzbekistan (+2.7 p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total imports, while Belarus saw its share reduced by -7.2% from 2012 to 2021, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, Russia ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported pumps for liquids and liquid elevators in the CIS, comprising 71% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Kazakhstan ($X), with a 12% share of total imports. It was followed by Belarus, with a 6.8% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in Russia was relatively modest. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Kazakhstan (-1.5% per year) and Belarus (-2.3% per year).
Import Prices by Country
In 2021, the import price in the CIS amounted to $X per unit, picking up by 11% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, saw a deep reduction. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2019 an increase of 47% against the previous year. Over the period under review, import prices attained the peak figure at $X per unit in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, import prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Kazakhstan ($X per unit), while Belarus ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Uzbekistan (+5.0%), while the other leaders experienced a decline in the import price figures.
