The growth pace was the most rapid in 2016 when the number of producing animals increased by 5.3%. In 2022, exports of rabbit or hare meat in the CIS reduced remarkably to X tons, declining by -33.2% on 2021. Overall, exports recorded a abrupt shrinkage. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 198% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at X tons in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2022, the exports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, rabbit meat exports reduced markedly to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, exports, however, posted a moderate increase. From 2015 to 2022, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.
