The volume of export peaked at X tons in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, rape and colza seed exports declined modestly to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, exports showed a strong increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 when exports increased by 152%. In 2022, purchases abroad of rape or colza seed increased by 57% to X tons, rising for the second year in a row after two years of decline. Overall, imports showed a significant increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2018 when imports increased by 603%. The volume of import peaked in 2022 and is likely to continue growth in years to come.

In value terms, rape and colza seed imports soared to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports enjoyed significant growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 when imports increased by 241%. The level of import peaked in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in the immediate term.
