The volume of export peaked at X units in 2021, and then declined sharply in the following year.

In value terms, swivel seat exports shrank markedly to $X in 2022. Overall, exports showed a abrupt descent. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 when exports increased by 68%. As a result, the exports attained the peak of $X, and then shrank sharply in the following year.

Belarus represented the main exporter of swivel seats with variable height adjustments in the CIS, with the volume of exports accounting for X units, which was approx. 78% of total exports in 2022. It was distantly followed by Kazakhstan (X units), committing a 19% share of total exports. Uzbekistan (X units) held a minor share of total exports.

Exports from Belarus decreased at an average annual rate of -14.2% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, Kazakhstan (+29.3%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Kazakhstan emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in the CIS, with a CAGR of +29.3% from 2012-2022. By contrast, Uzbekistan (-56.1%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. While the share of Belarus (+33 p.p.), Kazakhstan (+18 p.p.) and Uzbekistan (+1.5 p.p.) increased significantly, the shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, Belarus ($X) remains the largest swivel seat supplier in the CIS, comprising 94% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Kazakhstan ($X), with a 4.9% share of total exports.

In Belarus, swivel seat exports declined by an average annual rate of -5.1% over the period from 2012-2022. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Kazakhstan (+16.9% per year) and Uzbekistan (-65.6% per year).

Export Prices by Country

In 2022, the export price in the CIS amounted to $X per unit, increasing by 291% against the previous year. In general, the export price enjoyed prominent growth. As a result, the export price attained the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Belarus ($X per unit), while Uzbekistan ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Belarus (+10.5%), while the other leaders experienced a decline in the export price figures.

In value terms, swivel seat imports reduced to $X in 2022. In general, imports, however, saw a pronounced increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 with an increase of 42% against the previous year. The level of import peaked at $X in 2021, and then shrank in the following year.

Imports by Country

Russia prevails in imports structure, recording X units, which was approx. 77% of total imports in 2022. It was distantly followed by Belarus (X units), Uzbekistan (X units) and Kazakhstan (X units), together mixing up an 18% share of total imports. The following importers - Armenia (X units) and Moldova (X units) - each recorded a 3.4% share of total imports.

From 2012 to 2022, average annual rates of growth with regard to swivel seat imports into Russia stood at +3.4%. At the same time, Uzbekistan (+34.7%), Belarus (+18.6%), Armenia (+6.2%), Moldova (+2.4%) and Kazakhstan (+1.0%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Uzbekistan emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in the CIS, with a CAGR of +34.7% from 2012-2022. From 2012 to 2022, the share of Uzbekistan and Belarus increased by +6.2 and +5 percentage points, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, Russia ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported swivel seats with variable height adjustments in the CIS, comprising 74% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Belarus ($X), with a 9.4% share of total imports. It was followed by Kazakhstan, with a 7% share.

In Russia, swivel seat imports increased at an average annual rate of +2.4% over the period from 2012-2022. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Belarus (+10.0% per year) and Kazakhstan (+2.1% per year).

Import Prices by Country

The import price in the CIS stood at $X per unit in 2022, falling by -3.5% against the previous year. In general, the import price showed a slight downturn. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 an increase of 11%. Over the period under review, import prices attained the peak figure at $X per unit in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Kazakhstan ($X per unit), while Armenia ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Uzbekistan (+14.9%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
