Among the main exporting countries, Uzbekistan, with a CAGR of +94.9%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2021, the export price in the CIS amounted to $X per ton, increasing by 32% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, continues to indicate a perceptible downturn. The level of export peaked at $X per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, the export prices remained at a lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Russia ($X per ton), while Belarus ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

In general, imports, however, showed a slight reduction. The volume of import peaked at X tons in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.
