Belarus dominates exports structure, finishing at X tons, which was approx. 93% of total exports in 2022. It was distantly followed by Russia (X tons), achieving a 5.7% share of total exports.

Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at X tons in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, concrete tile imports shrank to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports showed a pronounced decrease. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 49% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.

Russia dominates imports structure, reaching X tons, which was approx. 81% of total imports in 2022. Kazakhstan (X tons) took a 9% share (based on physical terms) of total imports, which put it in second place, followed by Belarus (4.5%). Moldova (X tons) and Kyrgyzstan (X tons) followed a long way behind the leaders.

Imports into Russia decreased at an average annual rate of -4.1% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, Kyrgyzstan (+27.2%), Belarus (+24.8%) and Kazakhstan (+19.9%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Kyrgyzstan emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in the CIS, with a CAGR of +27.2% from 2012-2022. By contrast, Moldova (-6.6%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. While the share of Kazakhstan (+7.9 p.p.), Belarus (+4.2 p.p.) and Kyrgyzstan (+1.8 p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total imports from 2012-2022, the share of Russia (-11.1 p.p.) displayed negative dynamics. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, Russia ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported tiles, flagstones, bricks and similar articles, of cement, concrete or artificial stone in the CIS, comprising 74% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Kazakhstan ($X), with an 8.2% share of total imports. It was followed by Belarus, with a 7.7% share.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of value in Russia amounted to -5.3%. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Kazakhstan (+7.7% per year) and Belarus (+14.3% per year).
