Russia prevails in exports structure, recording X tons, which was near 92% of total exports in 2022. It was distantly followed by Kyrgyzstan (X tons), constituting a 7.9% share of total exports.

Russia was also the fastest-growing in terms of the tin ores and concentrateses exports, with a CAGR of +58.8% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, Kyrgyzstan (+40.1%) displayed positive paces of growth. While the share of Russia (+92 p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total exports from 2012-2022, the share of Kyrgyzstan (-90.5 p.p.) displayed negative dynamics.

In value terms, Russia ($X) remains the largest tin ores and concentrates supplier in the CIS, comprising 95% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Kyrgyzstan ($X), with a 4.4% share of total exports.

In Russia, tin ores and concentrates exports increased at an average annual rate of +65.9% over the period from 2012-2022.

In 2022, the export price in the CIS amounted to $X per ton, declining by -18.5% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, posted prominent growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 an increase of 50% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export prices reached the peak figure at $X per ton in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.

In 2021, imports of tin ores and concentrateses in the CIS reduced remarkably to X tons, with a decrease of -62% against 2020 figures. Over the period under review, imports continue to indicate a dramatic descent. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 when imports increased by 999%. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure at X tons in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, tin ores and concentrates imports skyrocketed to $X in 2021. Overall, imports showed a dramatic setback. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 when imports increased by 11,680% against the previous year.
