In 2021, after two years of decline, there was significant growth in the CIS aircraft tyre market, when its value increased by 43% to $X. Over the period under review, consumption, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. Over the period under review, the exports attained the peak figure at X units in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2021, the exports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, aircraft tyre exports surged to $X in 2021. Overall, exports continue to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum at X units in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, Russia ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported tyres for aircraft in the CIS, comprising 68% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Azerbaijan ($X), with a 10% share of total imports. It was followed by Kazakhstan, with a 9.1% share.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value in Russia stood at -8.2%. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Azerbaijan (+4.1% per year) and Kazakhstan (+4.9% per year).

The import price in the CIS stood at $X per unit in 2021, growing by 10% against the previous year. Over the period from 2012 to 2021, it increased at an average annual rate of +2.1%.
