By contrast, Belarus (-11.1%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. Russia (+14 p.p.) and Kazakhstan (+2.7 p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total imports, while Belarus saw its share reduced by -11.4% from 2012 to 2021, respectively.

In value terms, Russia ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported trichloroethylene and tetrachloroethylene (perchloroethylene) in the CIS, comprising 89% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Kazakhstan ($X), with a 5.5% share of total imports.
