In value terms, Russia ($X), Kazakhstan ($X) and Belarus ($X) appeared to be the countries with the highest levels of imports in 2022, with a combined 81% share of total imports. Azerbaijan, Armenia, Uzbekistan and Moldova lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 16%.

Uzbekistan, with a CAGR of +22.1%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, in terms of the main importing countries over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the import price in the CIS amounted to $X per unit, growing by 7.8% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2016 when the import price increased by 34% against the previous year. The level of import peaked at $X per unit in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
