From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for Armenia (with a CAGR of +22.3%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, Belarus ($X) remains the largest x-ray apparatus supplier in the CIS, comprising 78% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Russia ($X), with a 20% share of total exports.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of value in Belarus amounted to +21.6%. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Russia (+0.8% per year) and Armenia (+17.6% per year).

In 2022, the export price in the CIS amounted to $X per unit, with an increase of 62% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price posted temperate growth. As a result, the export price reached the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Belarus ($X per unit), while Armenia ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 with an increase of 96%. The volume of import peaked in 2022 and is likely to see gradual growth in the near future.

In value terms, x-ray apparatus imports surged to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports, however, recorded a mild slump. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 with an increase of 130%. The level of import peaked at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.

In 2022, Russia (X units) was the largest importer of x-ray apparatus, comprising 65% of total imports. It was distantly followed by Kazakhstan (X units), Azerbaijan (X units) and Uzbekistan (X units), together generating a 27% share of total imports. Belarus (X units), Kyrgyzstan (X units) and Armenia (X units) held a relatively small share of total imports.

From 2012 to 2022, average annual rates of growth with regard to x-ray apparatus imports into Russia stood at -2.5%. At the same time, Azerbaijan (+21.4%), Uzbekistan (+14.6%), Kazakhstan (+14.2%), Armenia (+12.0%), Kyrgyzstan (+11.5%) and Belarus (+3.9%) displayed positive paces of growth. While the share of Kazakhstan (+11 p.p.), Azerbaijan (+5.8 p.p.) and Uzbekistan (+4.6 p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total imports from 2012-2022, the share of Russia (-25 p.p.) displayed negative dynamics. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, Russia ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported x-ray apparatus in the CIS, comprising 69% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Kazakhstan ($X), with an 18% share of total imports. It was followed by Uzbekistan, with a 4.5% share.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of value in Russia amounted to -3.9%. The remaining importing countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Kazakhstan (+13.5% per year) and Uzbekistan (-8.0% per year).

In 2022, the import price in the CIS amounted to $X per unit, growing by 1.6% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, saw a perceptible decline. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 when the import price increased by 37%. The level of import peaked at $X per unit in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Kazakhstan ($X per unit), while Azerbaijan ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
