Crane Market Size in Colombia

In 2022, the Colombian crane market was finally on the rise to reach $X for the first time since 2019, thus ending a two-year declining trend. In general, consumption, however, recorded a deep setback. Over the period under review, the market attained the maximum level at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, consumption remained at a lower figure.

Panama (X units) was the main destination for crane exports from Colombia, with a 87% share of total exports. Moreover, crane exports to Panama exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Peru (X units), sevenfold.

The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2019 when imports increased by 41% against the previous year. Imports peaked at X units in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, crane imports totaled $X in 2022. Overall, imports showed a deep slump. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 when imports increased by 31% against the previous year. Imports peaked at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.
