As a result, the exports reached the peak of $X. From 2017 to 2021, the growth of the exports remained at a lower figure.

Turkey (X tons) was the main destination for reclaimed rubber exports from Colombia, with a 96% share of total exports. Moreover, reclaimed rubber exports to Turkey exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Costa Rica (X kg), more than tenfold.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of volume to Turkey stood at -66.5%.
In value terms, Turkey ($X) remains the key foreign market for reclaimed rubber exports from Colombia, comprising 90% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Costa Rica ($X), with a 10% share of total exports.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value to Turkey amounted to -50.7%.
Export Prices by Country
The average reclaimed rubber export price stood at $X per ton in 2021, jumping by 56% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, showed a slight decrease. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when the average export price increased by 57% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the peak figure at $X per ton in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2021, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In 2021, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Costa Rica ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Turkey amounted to $X per ton.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Turkey (+47.3%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Reclaimed Rubber Imports
Imports into Colombia
In 2021, approx. X tons of reclaimed rubber were imported into Colombia; rising by 33% compared with the previous year. In general, imports showed a buoyant increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 when imports increased by 2,619%. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure at X tons in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, reclaimed rubber imports surged to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports saw a strong increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2016 when imports increased by 1,353%. Imports peaked at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.
Imports by Country
In 2021, China (X tons) constituted the largest reclaimed rubber supplier to Colombia, accounting for a 71% share of total imports. Moreover, reclaimed rubber imports from China exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, India (X tons), threefold.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of volume from China amounted to +23.8%.
In value terms, China ($X) constituted the largest supplier of reclaimed rubber to Colombia, comprising 65% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by India ($X), with a 25% share of total imports.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value from China stood at +18.9%.
Import Prices by Country
In 2021, the average reclaimed rubber import price amounted to $X per ton, picking up by 36% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, continues to indicate a pronounced setback. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2015 an increase of 53% against the previous year. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $X per ton. From 2016 to 2021, the average import prices failed to regain momentum.
Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In 2021, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was India ($X per ton), while the price for China totaled $X per ton.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by India (-0.5%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.
