From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value to Panama amounted to +15.6%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Germany (+111.9% per year) and the United States (+8.8% per year).

In 2022, the average tea export price amounted to $X per ton, declining by -5.6% against the previous year. Over the period from 2012 to 2022, it increased at an average annual rate of +3.4%. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2016 when the average export price increased by 22% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the maximum at $X per ton in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Guatemala ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Panama ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Germany (+12.7%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the amount of tea imported into Colombia reduced to X tons, which is down by -7.2% on 2021 figures. Overall, imports, however, continue to indicate a buoyant expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 with an increase of 31% against the previous year. Imports peaked at X tons in 2021, and then fell in the following year.
In value terms, tea imports shrank to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 when imports increased by 47% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at $X in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

India (X tons), Ecuador (X tons) and China (X tons) were the main suppliers of tea imports to Colombia, with a combined 79% share of total imports.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main suppliers, was attained by India (with a CAGR of +115.4%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, the largest tea suppliers to Colombia were India ($X), Poland ($X) and China ($X), with a combined 52% share of total imports.
