The Colombian textile wadding market fell modestly to $X in 2022, dropping by -1.6% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of X tons. From 2015 to 2022, the growth of the exports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, textile wadding exports skyrocketed to $X in 2022. In general, exports, however, showed a abrupt decrease. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 when exports increased by 200%. As a result, the exports attained the peak of $X. From 2015 to 2022, the growth of the exports failed to regain momentum.

Turkey (X tons), South Africa (X tons) and Ecuador (X kg) were the main destinations of textile wadding exports from Colombia, with a combined 83% share of total exports. Curacao, Panama, Venezuela and Romania lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 9.4%.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by Romania (with a CAGR of +18.4%), while the other leaders experienced a decline.
