From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of value to the Netherlands totaled +2.9%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: the United States (-2.2% per year) and Panama (+8.2% per year).
Export Prices by Country
In 2022, the average mango and mangosteen export price amounted to $X per ton, waning by -2.5% against the previous year. Overall, the export price showed a mild contraction. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2016 when the average export price increased by 15%. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $X per ton. From 2017 to 2022, the average export prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Belgium ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Honduras ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

Peru (X tons), Nicaragua (X tons) and Thailand (X tons) were the main suppliers of mango and mangosteen imports to Costa Rica, together accounting for 98% of total imports.
