From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Belgium (+23.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports into Cote d'Ivoire
After two years of growth, overseas purchases of beans (dry) decreased by -72.7% to X tons in 2022. Over the period under review, imports faced a deep slump. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2016 when imports increased by 197% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of X tons. From 2017 to 2022, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, dry bean imports fell sharply to $X in 2022. In general, imports showed a deep slump. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2014 when imports increased by 191% against the previous year. Imports peaked at $X in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.
Imports by Country
Niger (X tons), Lebanon (X tons) and Mali (X tons) were the main suppliers of dry bean imports to Cote d'Ivoire, together comprising 82% of total imports.
From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for Lebanon (with a CAGR of +61.1%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, Lebanon ($X) constituted the largest supplier of beans (dry) to Cote d'Ivoire, comprising 51% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by the United Arab Emirates ($X), with a 16% share of total imports. It was followed by Burkina Faso, with a 7.9% share.
