Average prices varied noticeably for the major external markets. In 2017, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Ghana ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Niger amounted to $X per ton.
From 2014 to 2017, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Niger (-28.3%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.
Durum Wheat Imports
Imports into Cote d'Ivoire
For the fourth consecutive year, Cote d'Ivoire recorded decline in purchases abroad of durum wheat, which decreased by -50.5% to X tons in 2022. Over the period under review, imports saw a sharp contraction. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 with an increase of 137% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at X tons in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, durum wheat imports declined sharply to $X in 2022. Overall, imports showed a significant decrease. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 when imports increased by 113%. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In 2022, France (X tons) was the main durum wheat supplier to Cote d'Ivoire, accounting for a approx. 100% share of total imports.
