France (X tons) was the main destination for leek exports from Cote d'Ivoire, accounting for a 43% share of total exports. Moreover, leek exports to France exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Burkina Faso (X kg), more than tenfold.

Imports into Cote d'Ivoire
In 2022, supplies from abroad of leeks and other alliaceous vegetables increased by 19% to X tons for the first time since 2019, thus ending a two-year declining trend. Overall, imports saw a resilient increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 with an increase of 438%. As a result, imports reached the peak of X tons. From 2020 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, leek imports stood at $X in 2022. In general, imports enjoyed a buoyant increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 when imports increased by 298% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X. From 2020 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Imports by Country
France (X tons), Spain (X tons) and Burkina Faso (X tons) were the main suppliers of leek imports to Cote d'Ivoire, with a combined 86% share of total imports. Belgium, Portugal, the Netherlands and Lebanon lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 13%.
From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for Lebanon (with a CAGR of +39.5%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
