Liberia (X tons) was the main destination for pimenta pepper exports from Cote d'Ivoire, accounting for a 70% share of total exports. Moreover, pimenta pepper exports to Liberia exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Guinea (X tons), fivefold. From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value to Liberia totaled +34.6%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: France (+25.7% per year) and Guinea (-34.3% per year).

The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2019 when imports increased by 163%. Imports peaked at $X in 2021, and then declined dramatically in the following year.

In 2022, Ghana (X tons) was the main supplier of pimenta pepper to Cote d'Ivoire, with a 92% share of total imports. Moreover, pimenta pepper imports from Ghana exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Mali (X tons), more than tenfold.
