From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value to Italy totaled +67.6%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Slovenia (+80.8% per year) and Bosnia and Herzegovina (+7.3% per year).

In 2021, the average other cereals export price amounted to $X per ton, picking up by 34% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, saw a abrupt descent. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 an increase of 78%. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $X per ton. From 2015 to 2021, the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably country of destination: the country with the highest price was Bosnia and Herzegovina ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Hungary ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Italy (+10.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.

Imports into Croatia
After three years of decline, overseas purchases of other cerealses increased by 56% to X tons in 2021. Overall, imports, however, recorded a drastic downturn. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 when imports increased by 431% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of X tons. From 2018 to 2021, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, other cereals imports expanded significantly to $X in 2021. In general, imports enjoyed noticeable growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 with an increase of 133%. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X. From 2018 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.
Imports by Country
In 2021, Hungary (X tons) constituted the largest supplier of other cereals to Croatia, with a 62% share of total imports. Moreover, other cereals imports from Hungary exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, the Netherlands (X tons), threefold. Austria (X tons) ranked third in terms of total imports with a 5.3% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume from Hungary totaled -12.3%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: the Netherlands (+54.0% per year) and Austria (+9.6% per year).
In value terms, the largest other cereals suppliers to Croatia were the Netherlands ($X), Hungary ($X) and Germany ($X), together comprising 73% of total imports.
Among the main suppliers, the Netherlands, with a CAGR of +46.7%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average other cereals import price stood at $X per ton in 2021, dropping by -29.3% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, showed buoyant growth.
